  • JinBaori is a kind of haori used by samurai warriors in their camp, hence its name. There are different styles, with or without sleeves, and of varying lengths.
  • The collars show foreign influence, while warlords of the Sengoku era used bold patterns and colors to display their power in front of enemies and allies.
  • Originally designed as clothing to protect against cold and rain, the JinBaori gradually became lighter and more suitable for movement on the battlefield.
  • Some JinBaori, like those worn by Date Masamune with polka dot designs, were highly ornate to show off their grandeur in addition to their practical utility.
